Type of work you will do

OUM provides distinguished service to companies and as a first year Tax Associate; you will prepare a variety of tax returns for entities and individuals such as S-Corps, C-Corps, partnerships, LLCs, and high net worth individuals.  You will conduct research; apply critical thinking and work collaboratively to resolve client tax issues.

It is never a dull moment in the Tax Practice!  You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of client engagements that span various industries. Generally, you will be in the office communicating with your teammates and working collaboratively. Your managers will provide guidance to help you strengthen your tax technical skills and become a trusted business advisor. When it makes sense for your professional development and for the job, your managers will find just the right way to challenge you!

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic qualifications (Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher). Masters in Accounting or Taxation highly desirable.
  • CPA exam eligibility before beginning full time employment
  • Technology savvy, able to work efficiently with business software tools such as CCH Axcess and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capability to apply critical thinking, be proactive, and diligently follow through to completion on all projects.
  • Well organized, ability to work on multiple assignments, prioritizes tasks, and capable of managing assignments in a team environment
  • Responsive and polished communication skills (verbal and written).
