Type of work you will do

OUM provides distinguished service to companies and as an Audit Intern you will be  involved on teams executing audit and accounting procedures that involve problem solving, analyzing, reviewing client documents (such as financial statements and accounting records), conducting risk assessments, inventory observations, and creating “work papers” in which you’ll document and communicate your findings.

Typically, our work day will be at the client site to access client records and then complete some of the work in our office.  Field work ranges from a few days to a few weeks of local travel. Auditors connect with clients as part of an audit team, so you will be expected to show professionalism and competence with all levels of client personnel at all times, but don’t worry, your Team Lead and Team members will be there to coach and guide you through! Audit clients are quite diverse, ranging from small to medium sized companies both privately held and publicly traded in a wide variety of exciting and challenging industries.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting or Masters in Accounting with strong academic qualifications (Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher).
  • CPA exam eligibility before beginning full time employment
  • Technology savvy, able to work efficiently with business software tools such as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Well organized, ability to work on multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and capable of managing assignments in a team environment.
  • Responsive, with polished communication skills (verbal and written).

Location & Intern openings San Francisco (2) Employment Classification Hourly, Non-exempt Intern Dates June 2019 – August 2019. Full time Duration Up to 8 weeks Other: Will have a Coach, structured learning sessions, and fun events during internship!
